Why Rithmetic?
Because Most Kids Should Do More Math!
But that doesn't mean just doing page after page of drills while they wait for their sister to finish hockey practice, or playing the same math game over and over on an iPad.
First and foremost, kids need to develop strong basic math skills, both through practice and through fully exploring various math concepts. However, at the same time, they need to learn how to play with and be creative with math, ideally with other kids and before they start to struggle. They also need help sometimes to make connections between various math concepts and the world around them. Rithmetic is a place for kids in Grades 2 to 7 to come and do all of that! We provide a fun and challenging environment where kids get the practice and guidance they need to develop strong basic math skills so they will then have the tools and confidence to tackle more advanced concepts as they get older. |
We believe that every student can enjoy math and be successful in their math studies!
Sessions are a mix of math games, group activities, individual practice, mini lessons, puzzles and challenges. This balance keeps student engagement high, which then leads to the development of strong math skills. Weekly recaps and regular individual progress reports keep parents up to date on what their children are doing and the progress they are making. |
