2024 Summer Programs*
Word Problem Workshops
This year we are bringing back the popular WPW!
The program is a bit more intensive than our general club sessions
and is designed for kids currently in Grades 2 to 7.
Grades 2 and 3 will do a lighter mix of problems, puzzles and games,
while still learning the basics of how to tackle word problems.
Grades 4 to 6 will focus on more complex problems,
but still have fun with some lighter activities.
This program is offered twice over the summer for each age group:
July 8th - 10th
Grades 2-3 will come from 10am to 12pm each day
Grades 4-7 will come from 1pm to 3pm each day
August 5th - 7th
Grades 4-7 will come from 10am to 12pm each day
Grades 2-3 will come from 1pm to 3pm each day
The first two days will be individual and group challenges, mixed with discussions on strategy.
The third day will be a review of key strategies and a fun final group challenge!
Each member will receive a package of materials to take home after the workshop.
This could be the most important math your kid does all year!
Cost is only $179 for the three days.
Times Table “Bootcamp"
Learning the times tables can be a tough challenge for many kids.
And even kids that know them pretty well still need regular review.
So why not get a jump on them before the new school year!
We offer a program that combines multiplication understanding, strategies
and practice in a fun setting for an hour a day over the course of a week.
At the end of the week, your child will be much more comfortable
using their times table facts to not just multiply, but divide and even work with fractions.
Times tables are broken down into:
Perfect Squares (6x6, 7x7, etc.), the “Tricky Ten” (The ten toughest facts)
and strategies for 5s, 9s and 11s.
As a bonus, they will even learn the meaning of life! (hint: It’s 6 x 7)
For kids entering Grades 3, 4, and 5
July 22nd - 26th, 1pm - 2pm each day
Aug 19th - 23rd, 10am - 11am each day
Cost is only $129 for the 5 days!
